in terms of time, e.g. 1 week? How much hair re-growth do you need in order to have legs waxed in a salon?
Most places advertise that it will last you 4 - 6 weeks.
At least one quarter inch of hair growth is needed for optimal removal of hair with waxHow much hair re-growth do you need in order to have legs waxed in a salon?
Mine, 1/4 inch, 4 weeks.
use Nair so less painful
Listen if the hair is too short then the wax will not be able to grip and rip it out. So keep in mind that it needs to be at a certain length atleast. I would say about 2 weeks.
just enough to be able to do dread locks.

*how do i style my hair with wax?*?
i've never used hair products with the exception of shampoo and conditioner before, and am not starting (rather late haha). I have shoulder-length hair which is rather thick, but the stylists thinned it down a little bit for me. i also have bangs.
i've just bought some hair wax and have started experimenting with it..just kinda ran it through my hair and tried to';style'; it a bit..it's not much i know, but i think it looks better in the sense that it's more defined and textured now. could i please have some tips on how else to use wax to create interesting textures on my hair? and some simple styles? or some links to websites that describe that would be most welcome too. :)
thank you very much!*how do i style my hair with wax?*?
You could put wax on the ends and twist it and stuff, more like a tousled sort of look.
Thats for a shaggy look...Have funnn XD*how do i style my hair with wax?*?
wax makes your hair very greasy,
try using pommade or mousse, or some hairspray
if you really want your hair to stay
i reccomend got2b playful pommade
got2b glued mousse
%26amp; got2b glued hairspray
but if you use that, buy got2b unglued shampoo.. if you use that shampoo use a really really moisturizing conditioner because unglued shampoo makes your hair really really dry

How do you apply wax on hair?
you just take it and run your index middle and ring finger in it lightly. you dont need alot because it'll just look greasy. then you rub your hands toegther and spread your fingers out and kind comb your hair while shaking it. thats what i do. i love that stuff! How do you apply wax on hair?

If i get my lip waxed will the hair return darker?
That is absolutely, positively FALSE!! I get my brows and lip waxes and the hair actually starts to NOT grow back. You'll see when you get waxed that sometimes you'll get tiny spots of blood where the tiny hair came out. If there is a spot of blood that is a good thing (actually) because that means that, that one hair is not going to grow back. In fact I also get Brazilian waxes and A LOT of that hair just WILL NOT grow back anymore. The same thing has happened with my brows. Do not worry yourself with that old myth. Get it waxed and feel better about yourself. It hurts like a mofo (the Brazilian and the lip wax) but it's worth every penny and ounce of pain!If i get my lip waxed will the hair return darker?
yuck most people have hair above their lip.If i get my lip waxed will the hair return darker?
From experience its pain. Only other way is that hair removal spray you can get from coles but waxing will actually last the longest. Im sick of people posting offensive answers eh see above. Ta
waxing makes hair thiner
it will come back thicker.
yes and thicker!
you should bleach those hairs!
no, you just think it does because your self concious of it.
after a while yes. you should bleach them instead. they sell upper lip bleach at walgreens by the eyebrow waxing strips. its much better than waxing. lazer treatment would be good too but thats pretty pricey

Really bad bikini line ingrown hairs after waxing- can't wear a bikini :-(?
I have been having my bikini line waxed for over a year. for a couple of days after i have a really raised red rash then my skin never really clears. I get ingrown hairs and spots, they are really embarrassing as i cant wear a bikini. I have tried salt scrub. I have tried hair removal creams, they just don't work. Tried shaving against and in same direction as hair, makes it worse and really itchy. The ingrown hairs are starting to leave dark purple scars. I just want a normal smooth bikini line and be able to wear a swim suit. Please help. :-(Really bad bikini line ingrown hairs after waxing- can't wear a bikini :-(?

If you wax, does the hair go away for good eventually, how long?
You will find that after years of waxing, the hair no longer grows back as thick, and sometimes not at all.If you wax, does the hair go away for good eventually, how long?
Generally waxing pulls the root of the hair out of the folical. Eventually this will damage the folical until the hair is thin or stops, period.
Sometimes it happens on the first time, sometimes it might take years to see slow down and thinning.
Really the only sure way to nail them is laser. If you wax, does the hair go away for good eventually, how long?
No, it just takes longer to grow back.
Laser is the only permanent hair removal.
Waxing usually lasts about 2 weeks. Maybe more or less depending on your hair type, the hair thickness, and your skin type.
it does not go away for good but it lasts longer than shaving or depillatories (both methods which only last about a week) and also plucking (which lasts about 2 weeks, 3 at most). Waxing lasts entirely for about 2 months before the hair starts to become noticeable again. The nice thing about waxing is that, unlike shaving, it does not grow back courser or sticking out or anything, it grows baqck even less noticeable and much more slower. If you keep doing it for years on a certain area, then eventually the hair follicles will become permanently weakened and you will experience less hair growth in that area for good, not no hair growth, but the hair will become more thin. The only way to get hair to go away permanently at once is electrolysis or laser hair removal, and both lasts about 10 yrs. maximum before the hair comes back again, although it will be thinner.
hair will never go away forever unless you have some condition or you get is removed by laser
No, the hair does not eventually go away. The only reason you may think so is because hair grows in cycles so if you wax your legs... the regrowth you see is ONLY the active follicles---but you have tons of inactive ones and sheddign ones that will start their phase very soon. The only PROVEN permanent hair removal method is cosmetic electrolysis- which takes at least 9-12 months (due to hair growth cycles), is somewhat painful, expensive, and time consuming as each follicle is treated individually. Laser hair removal has been cleared by the FDA as permanent hair REDUCTION. It is unclear whether it lasts forever, most report hair regrowth after a few years at most. It works best on very light skin and dark, coarse hair combination- does not work on blond hairs or very dark skin.
