Does the barber prefer to cut your hair when it has gel and wax in it or not?

All hair cutting should be done on freshly shampooed hair with no products in it and still wet to ensure that it lays correctly. As we know, barbers are not so fussy but still wet the hair (or at least they should do!) before cutting. Wax/gel can blunt scissors etc and certainly can clog up electric clippers - so best to go straight from the shower to the barbershop.Does the barber prefer to cut your hair when it has gel and wax in it or not?

No styling products in my hair until the haircut/style has completely finished.
NOT! The gel and/or was tends to dull the scissors used for cutting hair. These scissors are extremely sharp and expensive to replace. Most barbers and hairdressers offer to shampoo your hair so your hair is clean and wet - perfect for cutting.
You cannot get a proper cut with any styling agents in the hair... It clogs up the clippers!
Think you'll find in general, they will want you to wash any gel or wax out of your hair before they will cut it!
A stylist/barber prefers cleans hair.

A) it's easier to comb/brush through.

B) it wont dull their shears, or clog and possibly break their clippers.

C) the hair doesnt lay naturally with product in it.

That is most of the reason why majority of the reason you get shampoo'd before a haircut, instead of just a spray down.
